Scan at 5 weeks 4 days due to cramps and small bleed seen

I have just been for a early scan after experiencing cramping and some sharp pains and saw a sac and the yolk and was told it was in a good place and that I was under six weeks as they don't date before six weeks apparently. She then told me she could see a small bleed just above the sac. Has anyone else experienced this before and can tell me any more information? I feel a little scared and lost after trying to conceive for 2 years and would just like to know where I stand but felt a little rushed to ask questions. I am due to be re scanned a week on Monday and should be 7 weeks 1day then.

I had the same at 5+5. I went in after a big red bleed. 10 weeks now and all looks ok! I was prescribed progesterone.

Subchorionic hematoma was my diagnosis. Had it with first DC too, all turned out fine. I'm resting lots this time.

Hope all goes well!

I'm in a similar position. Im about 6 weeks and a few days at the moment. Ive had a scan last tuesday and they saw the gestational sac and yolk sac. I've been bleeding for 6 days with light cramping. Having another scan next tuesday when i will be bang on 7 weeks. Nobody told me pregnancy would be this scary!

It really is scary times and I really wish you all the best it's horrible. I feel so out of control and am just finding myself hoping for the best out of every situation but it is so difficult.

I had an early scan at 8 weeks and they spotted a bleed on the scan, I went back two weeks later to check and it had gone, now 21 weeks and baby’s doing well

Hi Op, i had this at 6 weeks after some bleeding and was told nothing to worry about was just a small tear in the sac and can happen when you first fall pregnant. Im now 33 weeks, good luck! X

Thank you so much you have all really put my mind at ease. Feel like I can relax that little bit more and just wait for the next scan I really appreciate it as my anxiety was through the roof which I know is not helpful. I wish you all the absolute best ❤️

Hey, try not to worry to much! I had a large bleed (synchronic hematoma) above Bear when I was 5 weeks pregnant and I bled up until I was about 13 weeks, he's now 4 months old and he is perfect ! I was petrified of loosing him and I'm sure me panicking made it worse. Good luck with your pregnancy 🥰

Wow you must have been so strong to go through that. Thank you so much for your reassuring words and a big congratulations to you on you little boy. 😊

I had a SCH, I got some brown blood initially but not any red which I had been warned could happen. All turned out well.

Hey OP I had bleeding and a 6 week then 8 week scan - both times the baby was fine. I've since had my 12 week scan too and on Monday will be 20week scan so try not to worry!
