Confused to how I have no symptoms but progressing?

I'm so confused, everyone seems to be flooded with symptoms yet I'm taking tests and they are progressing. I got my 3+ earlier than I thought and I still don't feel exactly pregnant but things are progressing ( I can tell by the pregnancy tests changing each week) ? Has anyone had this before. I'm 5 weeks now and no symptoms really.

5 weeks is still early but you might just be one of the lucky ones! I’m currently 36 weeks and Iv only really feel bloated and that wasn’t until about weeks 14-20.

Apart from that Iv felt fine in myself, no sickness or feeling nauseous. Just enjoy it just now while you can and you’re symptom free :). Not everyone has the typical pregnancy symptoms x

BuffaloCauliflower · 18/09/2020 09:17

Everyone’s different and has different symptoms. I started feeling kind of hungover and tired about 4 weeks, lasted till about 8 weeks, but wasn’t sick once, no nausea, kept expecting it to come and it didn’t!

Sanitisethat · 18/09/2020 09:17

5 weeks is still really early for symptoms - and you might never have any! I was really lucky and only had very mild symptoms (some intermittent nausea, sore boobs now and then).

SunnySideUp2020 · 18/09/2020 09:19

Had nothing until 6w. But at 6w started horrendous morning sickness until 9 -10weeks!
So enjoy the good days ;)

Teddy1970 · 18/09/2020 09:25

I no symptoms whatsoever, nothing, zilch, I felt so normal that I had to remind myself I was actually pregnant, especially when DH opened the wine! It was only when my bump got bigger that I finally had physical proof, so you're not alone.

savetti · 18/09/2020 09:25

What symptoms would you like?
There are not really any nice pg symptoms, except maybe for baby kicks!

Lalanbaba · 18/09/2020 09:25

You may not get symptoms at all. Apart from a growing belly!

lenny12345 · 18/09/2020 09:36

Thank you everyone for the reassurance. I've had 5 misscarriages so I guess I'm just extra anxious! But I suppose it's more normal than I realise!!

I was a bit tired in the first trimester.. Now 22 weeks and often find myself forgetting I'm pregnant.. Until he kicks me.. Oh and the rounder belly I have!

LTurton · 18/09/2020 09:38

I was super lucky and never had any symptoms until I got a bit if round ligament pain at 20 odd weeks. I didnt 'feel' pregnant until I started to feel him move at around 21 weeks 😊 some people get loads of symptoms, some don't so please don't worry too much!

Fruitloops34 · 18/09/2020 09:48

I’m 7+2 and have felt horrendous since 5 weeks so please don’t feel bad for having no symptoms. I envy you!
My best friend had no symptoms at all through both her pregnancies. It’s just your pot luck.

NoGinNotComingIn · 18/09/2020 09:52

I think a lot of people on here think they have symptoms 20 minutes after they’ve had sex when in reality you aren’t really going to experience any symptoms until at least 6 weeks when hormone levels reach a level to actually cause those symptoms. Whenever I’ve been pregnant I’ve never felt anything until the 6 week mark but then have felt sick constantly until about 11/12 weeks. The exhaustion also hits around this mark too, i was so so tired from 6-10 weeks. I wouldn’t worry/feel too smug just yet you just aren’t very far along, you’ll probably feel as sick as a dog next week and wish you’d never wished for symptoms!

Topseyt · 18/09/2020 09:54

I never had any typical pregnancy symptoms in any of my three pregnancies.

I do understand your anxiety though about miscarriage. My first pregnancy was a miscarriage and I don't think I ever truly relaxed in the three subsequent (and successful) ones.

Shinea · 18/09/2020 10:34

Same here, I m 7+3 today with no symptoms except occasional twinges on lower abdomen which I always had during ovulation too.
Last time I had severe nausea from 6 weeks went on till my miscarriage at 20th week.
I dont have any symptoms so far but I don't know should I be worried for that🙈

bunnyonthemantle · 18/09/2020 10:37

5 weeks is early. Wait a few weeks and you'll be lucky if you're not wrapped around the toilet and/ or choking on stomach acid every hour of the day.

xxxemzyxxx · 18/09/2020 10:43

As others have said 5 weeks is still early and everyone is different, but even so not everyone gets symptoms. My grandma was pregnant 3 times (one of which was twins) and experienced no 1st trimester symptoms whatsoever!

H8624 · 18/09/2020 10:45

Mine didn't start til 7/8 weeks and even then it was only really headaches I suffered with. Had a week of morning sickness/nausea at about 9 but that was it!

Enjoy it while it lasts - you may be a lucky one that has no symptoms or it could hit you hard at any moment!

rorosemary · 18/09/2020 10:47

I didn't feel a thing till 8 weeks. Then the nausea hit with a vengeance.

HeeeeyDuggee · 18/09/2020 10:49

I’ve had 3 babies and not a single symptom with them! Honestly if I hadn’t taken a test I would t have known I was pregnant until
Movement started with mine.

Interestingly with my miscarriages I had some of the classic symptoms

Sophi123 · 18/09/2020 10:52

Snap! I got 3+ on CB digital yesterday (first time I've had that progression after a chemical pregnancy in July) and have basically zero symptoms and have been worrying about it! But have been reassured this is normal - either might hit us shortly or we might be lucky!

Em4815 · 18/09/2020 11:25

I'm the same too! 5+3 and not really anything other than (obviously) a missed period and white discharge (sorry tmi). I keep doing tests every couple of days and lines are progressing and got my 3+ on ClearBlue on Tuesday so hopefully everything is doing what it should at the moment and I'm just lucky .... my friend didn't know she was pregnant until 12 weeks as she had no symptoms other than tiredness so maybe we are the lucky ones here rather than anything untoward going on!

CoalCraft · 18/09/2020 11:43

I first started getting symptoms at 5w... Well symptom actually, sore nipples. That was the only typical pregnancy symptom I had until I started bloating and constipation from 7 weeks. I never had nausea or really anything else. Some people get no symptoms at all.

turquoisebaby · 18/09/2020 11:52

I didn't get any symptoms until I was 7 weeks which was worrying when everyone else seemed to be getting them, I have a history of miscarriages so it was a nerve wracking time. I then spent my time wishing I had no symptoms, after constant morning sickness until 18 weeks and food aversions. At 21 weeks I've now began eating real food and I feel like a new woman.

Muda · 18/09/2020 11:59

I’m 7 weeks 4 and zero symptoms. I had my booking in appointment with the midwife yesterday and mentioned my concern. I also had a mc in May so have been worried but she said it was pretty normal. I’ve not needed to pee more no sore boobs no nausea etc. I’ve checked quite a few times with tests and they are still showing positive so hopefully at 12 weeks when I have my scan baby will be fine and growing healthily and I’ll just be a lucky one not to feel rough ( unless the symptoms come to kick my ass now)
