2 foetuses found in early pregnancy scan

Hi im 6 weeks 2 days pregnant and I had early pregnancy scan on Wednesday. 2 sacs was found however one is smaller measured at 5 weeks 4 days and it looked empty. Has this happened to anyone else and did it turn out to be twins.

I had this at 7 week scan .. it was twins but unfortunately one didn’t develop past 12 weeks .i have a wonderful DD who was born perfectly healthy.

SIL had that but one was reabsorbed so she only birthed one child.

It's not that rare. With early scans it happens that they see two, but later on at the 12 week scan just one.
