So DH and I started trying this nonetheless for a second DC as it took me over 2 years to get pregnant with DC1 I thought oh I’ve got ages...A couple of days late and just had a very faint positive! I thought it would take forever and now I’m freaking out it’s too soon and I’m not ready!

Obviously I will be delighted when the shock goes but for now I’m bricking it! And I also thought by the time I finally managed to get pregnant Covid would be a bit clearer and now...
Dc is coming up to 2 so there is a decent gap

It will be fine, whatever the result. Close together works for many

shittingthreeeyedraven · 17/09/2020 14:30

Thank you! It’s just the shock of it I think! And I’m at home with DC while DH is at work so it’s just me panicking and I don’t want to tell him via text and freak him out too 😁

There’d be 2.5 years between them which I guess is normal, just always assumed it would be a bit bigger. Just goes to show that biology and our bodies are strange things

Congratulations! And 2.5 years is a lovely age gap Smile

shittingthreeeyedraven · 17/09/2020 14:34

Thanks mocktail 😊

I’ve also been a bit irregular with the old vitamins, because we weren’t really trying but trying if you know what I mean, if I start taking them religiously now will it be enough??

That's a nice age gap, don't panic. A positive test is always a shock no matter how planned the pregnancy is, it's life changing news and I think we all have a little panic at some point. You'll be fine, tentative congratulations Smile

shittingthreeeyedraven · 17/09/2020 14:37

Thank you keepingbees, I think you’re right it’s such momental news and a shock! I was so desperate last time round and still massively freaked out when I finally got that positive

I’m also still feeding DC so it’s even more of a shock! My poor DH, we’d hardly had sex since DC and now this 😆

Congratulations OP. That's a lovely age gap. You'll be fine. Best of luck.

Blessinghearts · 17/09/2020 14:38

@shittingthreeeyedraven congratulations did u gave any symptoms before getting your bfp. As youve said its a faint line days after af was due

Blessinghearts · 17/09/2020 14:39

When it happeneds its like a real shock ahh well done

Pet8 · 17/09/2020 14:40

Btw, had sex once after ds1 was born and got pregnant with ds2 after 9 months!

shittingthreeeyedraven · 17/09/2020 14:40

Not really, been very dizzy for the last day or so and tired but I’m a teacher who has just gone back to work so thought it was that 🤷‍♀️ Having looked at the test again (I panicked and put it in a drawer) it’s really not that faint at all, it’s bloody strong!

OP posts:
Blessinghearts · 17/09/2020 14:41

@shittingthreeeyedraven if its meant to happen it will, how faint was the test

Hardbackwriter · 17/09/2020 14:42

Congratulations! It's a very weird feeling isn't it - DS also took us two years and a lot of heartbreak so when this pregnancy (currently 19 weeks) happened from one shag it felt literally unbelievable; it still feels so much less 'real' than my pregnancy with DS because I still can't really believe I'm pregnant with so little fuss.
