I just want my baby to arrive now so I have something to do. I'm done with "enjoying" relaxing and making the most of having my own time because I've been off work since March because of covid. In that time I've barely been out due to shielding, and as restrictions were eased I didn't particularly want to put myself at risk late pregnancy so have only been to the shops once or twice. Everything was ready for baby weeks ago, the house is clean, bags are packed, and I'm sick of sitting on the sofa (or bouncing on the ball in front of the TV). I can only walk around the block due to needing a wee too quickly and I just don't know what to do any more as I just want baby here now! I'm actually looking forward to labour and going to hospital 😂. I don't feel like there's anything else to do around the house eg jigsaws etc as I did them all already, and I video chat with family/friends frequently but that doesn't fill much time when you have no new news to share.

Any suggestions of how to pass the next week or two (hopefully not that long) as baby still feels very comfortable and no signs of arriving yet!!

I remember this, I was sooo bored too.

I'm going to suggest a load of things that I wish I'd done, but I didn't actually do:

  • batch cook food you can reheat when the baby's here
  • buy everyone's birthday presents for the next 6 months, and Christmas too
  • get a massive Lego set to build
  • get back into a hobby you haven't done for a while (music, fashion, reading?)
  • have a clear out of stuff you don't need
  • drive to somewhere with a nice view (not sure what you'd do about a wee though)

Or you could just do what I did and lie on the sofa watching TV!

Done the batch cooking, freezer is stocked! I like the Lego idea 😂, and the present buying is a good idea too! I do drive my car once a week to make sure the battery doesn't die but it's usually for some kind of antenatal appointment/blood test so not really very exciting. I enjoy the change of scenery though 😂

Scrapbooking/making photo albums? I started doing it when I had my 1st baby, and have done it every year since. I really love it, and use snapfish/free prints to get loads of photos. You could document your pregnancy? x
