15+3 weeks but baby very low in pelvis

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. We had a private gender scan yesterday and the sonographer really struggled to get a good view as the baby was extremely low down and had their face resting on the placenta. Is this normal or should i be concerned?

I had spent the day rushing to the toilet and having pain to the point that I called my GP and she prescribed antibiotics for a suspected UTI. Soon as I had my scan the sonographer asked if I've had increased backpain and toilet urgency as the baby was all the way snuggled in the pelvis.

Since yesterday the discomfort is not as bad but I still feel the baby is low. Shouldn't the baby be higher at 15 weeks and is there anything I can do to help the baby move at this early stage?

Hi OP. I've carried low for the majority of my pregnancy (37+6) and baby is fine. He's been head down since around 24 weeks and whilst his body has moved around his head has stayed in my pelvis for the entire time.
He was facing my placenta (I have an anterior placenta) up until 31 weeks and then he turned around but his positioning of his head stayed the same.
Try not to worry much. Baby is still very small and will go all over the place for a while yet

Mines really low down, I’m 20 weeks and he’s constantly poking my bladder. It can be uncomfortable but it’s nothing to worry about, they’ll be all over the place yet.

Mines been really low and head down since 14 weeks, thought the sonographer was going to end up going internal at one point to get the head measurements . You will get used to the peeing and the weight of having a baby chilling in your pelvis don't worry. Also don't worry if the sensation changes, they're very very tiny and will wiggle themselves into random places

Yeah, I found that happened up till about 16 weeks when the placenta "popped" because it was too big to sit in my pelvis.

Thanks for the reassurance everyone. This pregnancy has really had me anxious!!!! It's my 2nd child but the first was 13yrs ago and with that one I didn't know till almost 17weeks so I don't remember a single thing about pregnancy because technically I'm consciously going through this first stage for the first time 😂. It took us 3yrs to conceive and I've had bleeds which is why i get so worried easily. I've had light cramping and I'm assuming it's uterine growth. I feel like I'm always waiting for the next milestone, i doubt I will relax till im holding baby 😆.

I had a scan today at 16&3 weeks and baby was head down and snuggled right in the bottom too. Made for a tricky scan to see everything needed but the sonographer was happy!
