Pregnant with first baby - do we go on holiday?

We’ve had a holiday booked for ages to Turkey due to fly end of September. Back in May I found out I was pregnant and I just thought it would get cancelled due to Covid. Things seem ok in Turkey and looks like to holiday will go ahead.
Unsure what to do as we can’t change the dates now and if we don’t go we lose a lot of money.
Has anyone travelled recently whilst pregnant and what are people’s thoughts? No idea what to do

I don’t understand your sentence, person who tagged me, but it is the governments responsibility to support their citizens, obviously, not some reckless tourists pouring onto planes. HTH. Depends how bothered people who choose to be impregnated are regarding the very new data with a brand new virus, and how willing they are to pass that risk on to their foetus.

Hello, I'm just back last week from an 11 night holiday in Turkey and had the exact same questions as yourself. It is the best decision I've made all year to go, 1000% felt safer there than eating out or even in a shopping centre here at home. Flight was fine, masks whole time basically until you arrive at your hotel. We go to small apartments and every day I was the only person in the pool. Everyone wears masks walking about, and take off same as here in bars etc. Hand sanitisers every doorway and on each individual table. You're outside for the majority of your day which in itself is good for you and baby!! As is the pool (basically spent the whole day in there or on lilo) and vitamin D. Got woke up at 2am with a noise outside, looked to see a big truck spraying the streets with disinfectant. Go your holiday, same risks here if not more. If you are healthy and having no issues so far then would highly recommend. Enjoy!! (ps. I was 24 weeks when I went) x

@JulieHanlon12 ah I'm so glad you posted I've just booked to go to Turkey in October at 26 weeks (if we're allowed, fingers crossed) so so ready for a holiday!! Glad you enjoyed it 😁

Thank you for that. We decided to go as I had heard from a few people they felt very safe and I got a great response from the hotel when I enquired about their policies etc. I got really good insurance too to cover us for all situations if they arise. They way we feel is we aren’t staying in and locking ourselves away until the baby is born and their are risks everywhere from going to the supermarket or to a restaurant and I’m doing those things. Got lots of masks and hand sanitizer plus gloves for the plane. We aren’t travelling round just plan to relax at the hotel on the beach.

Go if you want but if you have to isolate on return, please do. We all need to try & keep each other safe
