17 weeks pregnant with period pain HELP!

Hi,

I'm 17 weeks pregnant and had throbbing period type pain over my left ovary/uterus.

It's gone away now but has been here twice today for about 5 minutes at a time.

Is this normal? I'm super panicked. I had a scan less than a week ago and baby was fine!

Can anybody reassure me?

Thanks so much! Smile

Could it be this - round ligament pain?

I was also going to suggest round ligament pain. I had it quite badly and it felt exactly like a period pain. Used a hot water bottle which helped and rode it out!

When is your next appointment?

My next appointment isn't until 20 week scan which is still a good 2-3 weeks away :( my midwife cancelled my last appointment at 16 weeks so I don't have any plans to see anybody anytime soon.

I have had tons of round ligament pain but it's not felt like this before?

Do you live in an area where you could call a midwife/doctor for some reassurance? Or book in for a private scan so you know everything's OK? I know it's an incredibly anxious time, especially between 14-20 weeks when symptoms have pretty much vanished!
