Tell me your weird dreams during pregnancy

I'm 22 weeks pregnant and when I do manage to get some sleep at night - I'm having the weirdest dreams!

Two that I've had recently:

  1. I went to the hairdresser to get my long, waist length hair trimmed. I told the hairdresser to only take off a couple of inches to tidy up the ends. I fell asleep whilst she was cutting my hair and woke up to find she'd given me a short bob, up to my chin! I went home and DP refused to talk to me!
  1. I bought a fish from a pet shop. It was small and brown. It was handed to me in a clear plastic bag half filled with water. I left the pet shop and started heading home. On the way, the fish gradually started to grow inside the bag. It kept growing and it became apparent that it would soon be too big for the amount of water and would therefore suffocate. I started to panic and had to keep tipping the bag to move more water towards the fishes head. I quickly made my way to a chinese market (!?) where I found a pet shop. I anxiously asked them to take the fish off me, which they agreed to do. As I handed the bag over, I felt the body of the fish.. it was warm. I pointed out to the pet shop worker that I hadn't wanted a warm blooded fish, I'd wanted a cold blooded fish. Anyway, he poured the fish from the bag into a big tank and the fish was fine and seemed happy in his new home. I was very relieved!

Such weird dreams!

Anyone else having weird dreams during their pregnancy?

Can't sleep

Just dreamt I couldn't get hold of any family during labour and gave birth on the lounge floor with a 2 year old in tow.

Sat up making a plan in my head. Just had to have a banana as friends sick 🤪

Reading these posts has made me realise there are so many women having labour/birth related dreams during pregnancy. It makes sense though. I'm 23 weeks with my first and I haven't had a single labour/birth dream. Neither have I dreamt about my DD as if she had already been born and was here. It would be nice to dream about my DD.. not so sure on dreams about labour/birth though 😖

Hope you managed to get back to sleep @mumsofboys

Ooh.. I actually had a dream about my baby last night! It was strange and a but upsetting really.

I dreamt my baby girl was here. I was looking at photos of her, comparing them to photos of DP as a baby. I decided she was the spitting image of her daddy.

However, I then compared her photos to adult photos of my mother and realised my baby girl actually had my adult mother's face! Very odd!

I took baby girl to meet a friend of mine. Randomly, we met in the back store room of an off licence!

When I took baby girl out of her pram to cradle her in my arms, she kept flexing and arching her back causing her to stretch out further and further. Her head would end up dangling over my arm, so her neck and head weren't properly supported. Her head was just flopping over my arm and everytime I repositioned baby back into my arms properly so her head and neck were supported, she would do the same movements again causing her head to flop over my arm again. It was really distressing!

haha these are great, and making me feel less weird about mine!
Highlights from the last week:

  1. I was going round an antiques shop with all of my mum's relatives and one of my friends. Except it wasn't just a shop, it was this massive complex with multiple rooms and a fairground inside, and we kept losing my friend and my mum was worried her mum would be upset (we're both 30ish btw).
  1. I have a uni friend who is also pregnant, and I dreamt we were back at uni, on our course again, and we were both still pregnant, except instead of the reality (both married, planned etc) we'd both had one night stands and happened to get pregnant around the same time.
  1. Numerous dreams about DH dying (usually in a car crash), although in the latest one I found out he'd just taken out a massive life insurance policy and I got a few million pounds. But then the police thought this was suspicious and investigated me for murdering him. This is not as random as it seems, as we talked about buying life insurance the other day and I had been watching death in paradise...

Horrid dream last night.

I have two pet dogs. I dreamt one of them was laying in the lounge and the top part of his head was completely detached and laying next to him - I'm a similar fashion to him having had brain surgery.

I grabbed the top part of his head, placed it back on top of the rest of his head, desperately held it in place and screamed for DP to bring me a bandage and call the vet.

We took doggie to the vet and he said he would try and fix him, and he would let us know if the bill started to exceed £82,000. There's no way we could afford it!

A chunk of the dream is missing, but it turned out that my dog was absolutely fine. He never did have the top of his head missing.. it was a prank set up by an advertising company to promote a new zombie game!
I don't even play computer/online games. WTF?!
