Hi!!

I'm currently 16+6 weeks pregnant and experience left throbbing over my uterus/ovary area, feels a bit like period pains.

I have had round ligament pains that have felt nothing like this.

Feels like a strong throbbing feeling that's been coming and going now for an hour or so.

Anybody else had this?

Thanks Grin

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

@funnyrubberducky

The only time i had this type of pain was infection and so some sort of pelvic inflammation. But then i don't know how severe yours? Mine was waking me up and worse when peeing.

But then again, never been 16 weeks pregnant so don't know if it's just a normal uterus reaction to expanding. Which is probably more likely 😁

Haha @SunnySideUp2020 thank you! Anybody else had this?

I had it at 9 weeks, at first I didn't think anything to it, then realised they were coming in waves and in a pattern of every 15 minutes. Then I knew they were contractions and my scan the following morning confirmed my worst fears

funnyrubberducky · 06/09/2020 22:40

@Lozz22 they've stopped now and they're very short bursts of time. I assume was yours more frequent?

@funnyrubberducky pretty much until I was finally able to fall asleep but then they'd stopped by the morning. I was booked in for a scan that day anyway but I think somehow deep down I already knew Baby had gone because my pregnancy symptoms had started to decline a few days before. I do remember thinking how cruel it was to let me get further past my previous losses so I'd spent 4-5 weeks thinking We'd finally get to take a Baby home from hospital and naively did a Baby wish list on amazon

Please call your maternity unit for advice @funnyrubberducky, it's important you speak to the Midwives as you may need to go in to be checked.

@Lozz22 I'm so sorry to hear that, that's awful. Have you got children? If you don't mind me asking? Flowers my thoughts go out to you. It's so hard x
