Can you tell what position your baby is in?

Hi all,
Ladies in their final trimester- can you usually tell what position your baby is in? I feel like I can- I can make out the head and the bum and work it out from there. Anyway I am 38 weeks and the pressure I was feeling down below when the baby was head down has vanished! I feel like the baby is sideways now...which is quite uncomfortable but also getting me worried about labour. Am I overthinking or is this actually possible so late on?

It is possible for baby to love anytime. My baby has been head down for a couple of months and his body has just moved around. I have no idea which limb is which but I can tell when he is by the shape of my belly.
Your baby May have just moved away from your pelvis slightly reducing the pressure.
If you're 38 weeks I'd imagine you'd have a MW apt soon and they will be able to tell you babies position 👍🏻

Every MW appointment I went to with my first I was told the bag was head down. Had my sweep on my due day and got told that what that MW could feel wasn't a head but a bum - baby was breech. Consultant that saw me that day couldn't turn bubs so I ended up having a c section. Despite reading everything I could it never occurred to me bubs could be breech.
