Physio ultrasound in early pregnancy

Hi all - I hurt my ankle badly and went to see my physio today. She did ultrasound on my ankle assuring me it was safe in pregnancy. I have since come home and Googled (Confused) and found that it should not be used in pregnancy.
I am hoping that because it is in my ankle it shouldn't have reached the fetus - I am only 6 weeks pregnant. Has anyone else had physio ultrasound in early pregnancy and can give me any advice/ reassurance?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Ultrasound? As in the same machine used at 12 and 20 (plus multiple other) week pregnancy scans???

It’s safe, don’t worry. The physio scanning isn’t different from pregnancy scanning because I think it’s designed to slightly increase the temperature in tissue (I could be wrong!) which is not safe for baby. BUT the effect is only where the beam is directed - Ie your ankle. There will be no efffct on baby whatsoever.

That should say physio scanning is different, typo

Your response is really reassuring. I'll give up worrying! X
