Went for scan 5+4 and can only see yolk sac etc??

Has anyone ever had a scan at 5+4 and gone back a week later and been a heartbeat? I went to my scan today they said it's really common but I'm so worried. They didn't take no bloods etc because they said everything's in the right place, any advice would be so greatful thanks xx

@Mumr19 same thing happened to me jist under 3 weeks ago. Going for a second scan saturday so will let you know the outcome xx

@Mumr19 I thought I was 6w 3days but they said I measured just before 6 weeks. Xx

that's totally normal given how early on in gestation you are

I went for a scan at 5+3 and seen a gestation sac and yolk which is exactly what i expected to see.
I then had another scan at 5+6 and seen a foetal pole but no heartbeat.

I then had another scan at 6+6 and seen a heartbeat..

In this pregnancy I had a scan at 5+6 (following a bleed) and they could only see a gestational sac and yolk sac.

Scanned a week later at 6+6 and they could see a foetal pole and a heartbeat.

Good luck, hopefully it's just a bit too early.

@Mumr19 hey. Just had our scan and little bean was there with a strong heartbeat. My dates have now caught up with themselves. So try and relax which I know is easier said than done. I was a nervous wreck xx

This is normal, try not to worry.

I had an unscheduled scan at 5+4. This was due to suspected ectopic pregnancy, which was thankfully ruled out.

At 5+4, I saw the pregnancy/gestation sac and a tiny yolk sac.

I went back between 10-14 days later (can't remember exactly) and I saw babies heartbeat.

I'm now 21+6.

I know it's hard, but as I said at the top, please try not to worry.

@TruffleMama thankyou so much. I think I'm just thinking the worst because I've had pains and a tiny tiny bleed about 2 weeks ago now, I never had this with my son. So it has really scared me, I have to back on Thursday which would have been exactly a week since xx

The reason I was advised to go to A&E was also because of severe pain in my tummy (I was convinced I was having a MC) and dizziness/feeling light-headed.

I think I was about 7+2 when I went back for the viability scan and saw DC's heartbeat.. from your dates, you will be 6+4, so hopefully you will also be able to see your DC's heartbeat.

@Mumr19 I am now 9w 1d although that could change at 12 week scan they said. Which would have made me 6w 1d at the original scan so baby has caught up. Its 9w 3d since my period so pretty spot on now x

Hey, I had a scan at 4 weeks (i thought i was 5+ 2) as i was cramping and had a tiny bleed post sex and was told there wasnt a sac or anything there. I had a private scan done at 5 weeks and it showed a tiny sac and yolk. I went back either a week or 2 later and there was a heartbeat. Im currently 19 + 2
