Hello! I'm exactly 5 weeks today with DC2, got my BFP last Thursday and I'm ashamed to admit I'm one of those women who is obsessed with POAS when pregnant 🤦.

I've been testing every day since with IC and the line is still an absolute squinter, I almost feel like if anything, it's getting lighter and I seem to remember it being darker when I was having DD. I have to take a urine sample to the GP today to get it confirmed and I'm worried they won't even be able to pick it up on the test!

I'm just really worried this one isn't going to stick. I've only been pregnant once before and that was the result of DD so I've never had any experience of CP or miscarriage but I'm so worried.

Has anyone else had experience of lines being faint and gone on to have a healthy pregnancy? or should I prepare for the worst?

Photos attached.. first 3 days for comparison (lines was getting darker here) and the last photo is this morning.

xx

I've found these to be really slow at showing prgression. I took one at around 5 weeks and it was barely visible when my frer was a dye stealer! So I wouldn't take it as a bad sign, I had a good scan last week at 7+2

Maybe try a clear blue digital with the weeks to see, I know it’s not exact science but if you know you’re around five week you’d get a positive on a digital, good luck🤞🏻

That actually doesn’t look like bad line progression to me from those tests. I’ve had a chemical pregnancy and it was super pale and then stayed super pale and then vanished- yours definitely does look darker in the bottom of the three.

I had this, I had a positive on a ic, quite dark, then negatives... then faint ones... I was sure it was a chemical, but I'm 16 weeks pregnant now so it wasn't!! X

I didn't get a positive test until I was 2 weeks late and then did 3 over 3 days with each line being fainter than the last. Haven't got a scan booked for another 2 weeks but I'm definitely having lots of symptoms and my tummy is growing surprisingly quickly (I'm only 10+5) so it feels like all is well. I panicked so much over the tests to begin with but so many things can affect them - time of day, how much you've had to drink, etc. that doing them was more trouble than it was worth.

Don't panic and don't take any more tests, whatever will be will be and the best thing you can do is take it easy and look after yourself x

Tested again this morning and got another faint line but also started bleeding a little bit, so it's not looking good at all ☹️ it's not bright red, more browny/pink, could it be implantation bleeding this late on? I'm 5+1 today, either way what will be will be, but I am disappointed x

Internet cheapies do take a lot longer to give a dark line. Also the odd bit of brown/pink spotting isn’t unusual in the first trimester and may not mean anything sinister. I guess all you can do it wait, which I know it worrying but there’s a good chance everything will be fine.
