Symptoms disappearing - should I be worried

Hi all,

Just looking for some reassurance I guess. I am 8 weeks pregnant and on Friday when I went to the toilet when I wiped there was the tiniest amount of 'pink' on the tissue. Barely anything at all, I haven't had any pains/cramps and still felt sick and tired and my boobs were still sore and hard🤢

Ive felt terrible nausea all day again today which seems to be normal not having felt this way for the last 2 weeks! But I've taken my bra off tonight which is usually when my boobs feel their sorest and there don't feel sore anymore and are no longer 'hard'.

Just worrying now that something isn't right? Is it usual for some pregnancy symptoms to come and go?

It’s absolutely usual for symptoms to come and go. Nothing you’ve described makes me think the worse. I don’t think you should be worried, but having been there... yes... so much worry, especially in the beginning. You could book a private scan for piece of mind?

Thanks for replying!

I'm also really cold all of the time and wasn't sure if this was a normal symptom! My hands are like ice and I'm having to always be wrapped up!

Not to mention still constipated (sorry if TMI) not finding pregnancy a walk in the park so far 🙈! I wasn't sure if there was anything I was allowed to take or could do to help with this?

Ah I never found pregnancy that fun really. It’s so hard because you never want to acknowledge how sucky it can be because of course it’s a blessing and it’s such an exciting time. But physically (and emotionally!!) it’s so hard.

Have you had your first midwife appointment yet?

I’m sure with the constipation they’ll tell you to look at your diet but do you suffer with your thyroid at all? I have an under active thyroid. It was a little bit pre pregnancy, not even on medication, as soon as I hit pregnancy my levels went all over the show! Big symptoms for me are constipation and exhaustion (but I suppose you have the latter anyway!). Being sensitive to the cold is a big one too.

Thanks @Babs709 Smile

My first midwife appointment is next Monday but not too sure what to expect! I think I may book an early scan like you suggested just for my own piece of mind!

This is my first pregnancy and wasn't really sure what to expect for naively I didn't think it would be like this. I feel like most pregnant people I've known have made it look a lot easier than it is! Our dog is having puppies next week and I keep telling her how lucky she is that it's only 9 weeks for them 😂 like you say though I don't want to complain as I know how lucky I am!

My parents dog had puppies a few weeks before my due date and she genuinely inspired me. She made it look so easy!
