10 days overdue, induction Thursday, 3rd baby

Hi Everyone,

I am currently 10 days overdue with baby number 3. I can’t believe I have gone this far over!

I will be getting induced on Thursday if nothing happens between now and then.

I was induced with my eldest - I’m not too concerned about induction as it was fast with my eldest at 37 weeks.

My midwife tried to but couldn’t actually do a sweep when I was 41 weeks with this pregnancy last week so I am a little worried induction may not work or may take its time this time around.

Has anybody had a similar situation?

I don’t like the idea of being in for days without any progress and being away from DC 1&2.

Not sure what I’m really asking, just wondering if anybody had any stories to share with how their inductions went when they were overdue, especially with 3rd pregnancies? Did they take days?

Iv had 4. First 3 all came on or before due dates was booked in for induction on Monday at 9 days over with 4th and he came the day before on the Sunday so might still happen for u. For me I think it was stress that stopped my labour and then once I got my date I relaxed and it happened. Had a sweep the Thursday was only 1cm normal after other babies and they didn't hold out hope of it working so could happen still for u
