Heya just looking for reassurance/peoples experiences. Had midwife today and she has referred me for a growth scan tomorrow because the growth is tailing - so little missy has grown a little bit but not as much as they'd expect to follow the curve. atm I'm keeping chill about it but anxiety can make me build up the worry over time! X

I had this last week at my 36 week midwife appointment, had the growth scan the next day and now my baby is showing on 18th centile so I’ve got another scan next week to see how his growth is then. I’m also trying to be quite calm about it as everyone I’ve spoke to have said how inaccurate growth scans can be. Just look at it as another chance to see your baby on the screen xx

Did midwife refer based on measuring your bump/fundal height? If so, this is notoriously variable and there are lots of things that can throw the measurement off so they often refer for an extra scan to be safe.

Personal experience - referred for growth scans late on with both my DC due to bump measuring smaller than expected/static growth. One of these referrals came only a week after having had a growth scan because of concerns baby was previously measuring too big... nothing unusual found in either case.

Thanks guys yes it was following from measuring bump with a tape measure. I know shes in a head down and back to back position. Shes usually followed the top curve on the growth chart so kinda "big" up until now x
