Worried about water that tasted like disinfectant when pregnant

Hi,

I dropped my water bottle in mud yesterday so I got the only disinfectant I had which is zoflora and immersed my water bottle in it cuz I'm stupidly anxious about germs. Completely forgetting this was silly as Milton would have been a better idea as zoflora is highly fragranced. Anyway I rinsed bottle thoroughly and when I drank water again (one of those straw bottles) I could taste the strong fragrance of zoflora in my mouth so spat it out. Worried I may have swallowed some and I'm 14 weeks pregnant, should I get checked or should I be fine? Haven't had any bad symptoms or anything, am just extremely anxious now :/

I'm not health professional but I'm pretty confident you'll be absolutely fine

This is absolutely a nonissue.

Also, in future, just wash with hot water. Disinfecting everything is overkill, and if done longterm will trash your immune system, and baby's.

You have nothing to worry about!
Definitely worth relaxing though on disinfecting everything. You don’t need to do that, soap and water will do the trick. Take care xx

Sorry but this sounds like you have underlying anxiety. You will be fine

Oh gosh, yes, you didn't need to disinfect it in the first place! It does sound like you're very anxious about germs, and it might be worth addressing before your baby arrives, or it could quickly become overwhelming. My 19 month old eats mud, licks shoes and eats food off the floor - if I was overly worried about germs I'd have had a nervous breakdown by now.
