Hello Everyone,

I am a first time mom due in this November, looking to buy a car seat. We don't have our own car , we do hire car occasionally for some trips.
I like Steadi and Tilt which is in our budget and suitable for birth to 4 years.

Can anyone help me to finalise the car seat between these two ? I am a bit confused with articles and other threads I found, so would be great to hear any personal experiences with these seats.

We had a Tilt in a courtesy car and it drove me nuts! The seatbelt is really in the way for taking baby in and out. Probably not an issue when you lift the whole seat out, but when baby is bigger and you want to leave the seat in the car, it was really annoying. I was very glad to hang it back after a couple of weeks! Not sure if it’s Isofix, which would resolve the issue.

Don't know if you're still deciding, but the Steadi is quite a bit easier to use - the headrest moves up and down with the straps which is better than having to actually thread them through the back of the seat when your child grows. It's also a little bit more roomy.

Unless the Steadi is much more expensive and you're on a tight budget, I'd go for that one.

@BertieBotts Thank you for your comments. We ordered Joie Steadi. :)
