Yes, I loved ours!

Rafagirl · 28/08/2020 10:58

Great going to go for it! It is suitable
From birth ? We are first time parents so excuse the dumb question haha according to video it looks like you can use it from the start? Is the baby head supported?

We absolutely love ours. People say don’t bother with a baby bath but the schnuggle keeps them upright from birth and means you don’t have to fill the big bath tub or deal with a slippery baby getting in and out

Also means you can bathe the baby in a bedroom or somewhere, you don’t need to crowd in to the bathroom

Yes it is but newborns are very squishy and all squished in at first so you’ll want to support the head / baby but the back of it is sloped backwards and it has a shelf for their bottom so they’re sort of lying backwards anyway

I loved ours and also bought the stand which is great so u don't need to bend over. We used ours for about 3.5 months then my LO just went into a big seat in normal bath. Kept our Shnuggle for DC2 though x

ChelseaCat · 28/08/2020 11:56

Yes -
Love ours! Used from
Birth

BikeTyson · 28/08/2020 11:58

We loved ours. Used it from birth up to about 6 months and now passed it on to someone else.

Nix2020 · 28/08/2020 12:00

Loved ours, definitely buy a stand makes such a difference (especially after a csection). We used it up till about 6 months my sister used it up to a year.

Mybobowler · 28/08/2020 12:17

We loved ours, used it for a year (and bought it second hand for a tenner - bargain)

OneForTheRoadThen · 28/08/2020 12:27

Yes - my DD was little and still fitted in hers until over a year old. It was really useful for a quick bath or to save water. She loved it.

RosieGirl27 · 28/08/2020 13:31

Yes! Have one for my DS who’s 6 months and I’ve just had a BFP so will be keeping it for the next one. My little boy is 6 months old now and a bit too long for it.

FizzingWhizzbee123 · 28/08/2020 20:46

We liked ours. The main thing we liked was how little water it required. It was a shock when we had to start filling the big bath, how much longer it took!

MaverickDanger · 28/08/2020 20:50

I’m a FTM and have just picked one up from FB secondhand for £8. There were quite a few locally to me, so might be worth having a look.

Hatscats · 28/08/2020 21:12

Same I got mine off Facebook market place brand new condition for £5! They don’t get used for long, so loads on there for sale.

RoseGoldEagle · 28/08/2020 21:37

Yes! Makes life so much easier. DS was forever having poo explorations at night as well to start with and it was just so easy to fill that, give him a quick rinse and get him dried and changed.

RoseGoldEagle · 28/08/2020 21:38

Explosions not explorations!

Scubalubs87 · 28/08/2020 21:41

Loved it. Was going to buy a more traditional baby bath but my friend bought me this having loved it herself. We used it from newborn and just needed to support my son initially. I’ve got photos of him really young though sitting in there himself as it supports them so well. The fact that it really covers the baby in water I found really helps to keep them content and warm. Used it until about 6 months when the splashing was covering the floor. About to dig it back out for baby two.

rottiemum88 · 28/08/2020 21:44

Loved ours! Used it for a year and DS still cried to go in it when he'd no longer fit Grin

Dogsgowoofwoof · 28/08/2020 21:44

Another here who loved it. Will be using it for dc 2 due in November.

Lockdownseperation · 28/08/2020 21:47

Yes! We had a generic baby bath for DD1 and Shuggle for DD2 and the difference was amazing. We used it from birth until 8 weeks as she was a long baby and would stretch out her legs and push herself up. After then we used the angelcare seat.

Definitely look into second hand and then resell on.

pastabest · 28/08/2020 21:48

Yes they are great. Both my children loved it as tiny babies - 6 months old.

We frequently have power cuts and water shortages so now they are 2 and 3 years old they still have the occasional 'sponge bath' in it when we are short of hot water, works really well.

It's now been repurposed as a foot bath for me.

Reader1984 · 28/08/2020 21:49

Yes it's great, but buy second hand from facebook market place. Save some money on the things you can!

mnahmnah · 28/08/2020 21:51

Definitely worth it. We got it for DC2 and it made baths so much easier than DC1

MsSquiz · 28/08/2020 22:01

We've loved ours. DD has her first bath in it at 5 days old and she's now 8.5 months and is only now using it less (keeps trying to clamber out of it!)
Once she learnt how to kick and make huge waves, we started putting it inside the big bath so she didn't try to drench the bathroom.
Ours is getting passed onto my cousin who is due in November

Justme10 · 28/08/2020 22:33

I loved it! I was really nervous about bathing a slippery newborn but the shnuggle supports them so well and made it so easy. Definitely get one second hand if you can, DS was big and long so didn't get a great deal of use from it unfortunately but was definitely worth it.
