GTT results - when is a reasonable amount of time to wait before eating ice cream again??

I'm 36 weeks. I had a scan on Monday and my baby is measuring at 39 weeks. The doctor said it could be because of gestational diabetes so to cut out anything sugary. I got booked in for a GTT test which I had yesterday so now just waiting for the results.

My pregnancy craving has been ice cream. I have not gone a day without it for the past 3 months, so diabetes wouldn't be a surprise really when I think about it. But it's been three days and I'm going crazy. They said they will let me know if there's anything wrong and if I don't hear from then everything's fine. How long should I wait to take it as 'everything's fine?' A few days? A week? I need ice cream 😩 I could just eat it but then I'd feel so guilty.

Oppo ice cream is fine for ladies with gestational diabetes, even if you come back clear for GDM you could consider it a healthy swap ☺️

I've been able to get it in Tesco no problem

Thank you :) I will be making a trip to Tesco in the morning
