In March I had an ectopic pregnancy and I didn't know it was ectopic until I started bleeding, then all the hospital stays and poking and prodding while totally alone in hospital due to the start of Covid
Basically I don't want to repeat the experience.

This baby is not ectopic, I've had an early scan approx 3 weeks ago and it was the perfect size for the dating

But now I'm very worried as I've lost 12lbs in the last 16 days. I'm about 190lbs I reckon so you wouldn't notice it but to me it's concerning

I have hyperemesis and nothing seems to stay down for too long (and even then I have diminished appetite) I know I'm not dehydrated based on urine colour (mostly clear) but I'm worried about the weight loss

Can this end a pregnancy? I really don't want to lose my second pregnancy

Note: This will be my first child

I had the same in my first pregnancy, I was 7 stone at 3 months pregnant ! I gave birth to a beautiful healthy baby. You will be fine ... try and keep hydrated as much as possible. My sickness started to disappear by about 14 weeks, but I still couldn't eat much. Our bodies are amazing, please try and relax. The baby is getting nourishment from you . Xxxx

I lost 12lbs in my first trimester through sickness and at 21 weeks I’m still 6lbs below my pre-pregnancy weight.
The most important thing to do is stay hydrated and take your vitamins, baby will get all the nourishment it needs from you. At least that’s what the midwife told me! Hopefully you’ll start to feel better soon xx

I lost over three and a half stone during my first pregnancy, my son was born 8lb 6oz and healthy.

I lost 5% of my body weight in the first few months (bmi at low end of normal) , I only gained the minimum amount of weight during pregnancy and was back at my prepregnancy weight within a few days of having a healthy little girl.

I would actually be more concerned by your dehydration than your weight loss. Have you spoke to your gp about your sickness? I only stopped losing weight and was able to drink and eat when I was prescribed some antinausea medication.

I'm on anti nausea stuff, cariban, but it's not really helping.
I'm not dehydrated I wouldn't think.
