Cholestasis of pregnancy

Hi all.
Been a bit itchy all over today but not sure if it's due to stretching/dry skin or if I should ring the hospital? I'm 37 weeks. Itching mostly on my legs and ankles...I've just slathered a load of moisturiser all over my body to see if that helps. Would appreciate if anyone who's had ICP could give me an idea of how intense the itching was so I know if I'm being paranoid or not!

Always good to get things checked out. Can wait til tomorrow though unless you have extra worries. More often cholestasis is palms/soles/belly but not always. ICP can vary in how itchy it is as well so would be hard to tell without some checks with midwife/doctor. Hope you get some sleep!

Definitely get tested tomorrow, just to be on the safe side.

I had OC from about week 30 but never really had itchy palms or soles of feet- which is where all the stuff I read said you were supposed to itch!!

My itchiness is not severe. Mainly hands and feet but also everywhere else including legs and arms etc.
Call your triage they should book you in with a blood test straight away

Get it checked. I was really itchy all over from about 30 weeks. It wasn't OC but PUPPs, which is a pregnancy related skin condition. I did have a rash though. I was prescribed steroids but they didn't really work. It got better in the last couple of weeke of pregnancy and disappeared after baby was born. I was left with scars from the scratching though.

Not all that intense, I managed to ignore it until i was trying to get to sleep (). It was an all over itch for me. So hard to tell because as soon as you start thinking about itching you itch more . I’m itching loads right now!
