Anyone had a chemical pregnancy and 2 weeks later still got a positive test?

Hi 👋🏻

My brain is messed up right now.
So, I've had multiple chemical pregnancies. Early MC is a pretty standard affair fir me.
So finding out I was pg the day before af was of no excitement.
From then on I was cramping and spotting (brown) until 4+4 when I had obvious MC.
Bleeding lasted for 3 days. Clots n all!
Brown spotting ever since.

Clear blue monitor asked me to start testing for ovulation- fine.
High, for 3 days.
Yesterday and today Peak. Right, ok... but if I'm still not done with a MC how can I be ovulating already? Which is 14 days after af due but 10days after start of MC. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Cramping again today, see red blood not just brown... wtf? Mid cycle? Apparently Ovulating?

So maybe an incomplete miscarriage?

Figuring my tests were faint and I got a negative before bleeding started 10 days ago, I assume I'd have extremely little or no HCG left in my urine.

So I test for HCG and get this... WTF is this?? It's stronger than any other test I got to start with 🤷🏻‍♀️

Anyone had a chemical pregnancy and 2 weeks later still got a positive test?

Sorry to hear you've been through all this. That's very weird. I'd contact GP for possible blood test.

Agree with PP - time to see GP or EPU. Common to have bleeding in early pregnancy which can seem quite heavy - may be incomplete miscarriage or may be ongoing pregnancy. Good luck

Sorry for everything you've been through. I think you definitely need to speak to early pregnancy unit and request a scan. Mention that your HCG is high despite the bleeding.

Phone gp and ask for a scan that hcg test is a dye stealer which happens usually about 6 weeks so maybe the original bleeding wasn't a miscarriage and u continued being pregnant. Also peak on ovulation can also happen in pregnancy too. Lots of women bleed in pregnancy and it turns out OK so fingers crossed this is the case and it's a sticky one for u. Oh and even if gp won't refer to epu u could get a private scan too as by lmp from before 3 day bleed you would be 6-7 weeks if it has stuck

Yes, original bleeding may not have been miscarriage. But I'd try and stay in that limbo phase mentally, it's awfully hard on you to leap up and down in hope (have been there) then again different people find different things comforting.

Are you under recurrent miscarriage clinic? Do you tend to lose them at the same gestation?
