No miscarriage yet but no heartbeat?

Hi guys, I had a scan today and the sonographer said that there isn’t a heartbeat/foetal pole yet. The first day of last period was 12th of July, meaning I should be around 7 weeks but they think I’m about 6. When did you all see a heartbeat?! Have attached scan picture too as it’s my first time and I’m not sure what I’m looking at lol

I had a scan and was dated '5-6 weeks' and they couldn't be certain what they were measuring was actually a foetus - it was noted as unknown location as my blood test showed I was pregnant.

There wasn't a heartbeat, pole, halo, nothing, it literally was a blur. I had a follow up on the blood test a week later and my levels were rising and so they were happy to wait for my routine scan after that which I had at 14 weeks.

I am now 7 months pregnant though so please don't be too disheartened yet. Best of luck to you!

Looking at the sack it's way too early - looks like the heart hasnt developed yet on the scan photo. Wait another week!

Is there a chance your dates are out so you’re actually less than 7 weeks-I think that heartbeat is usually visible from around 6 weeks and in some cases not until much later? At this early stage a couple of days can make a difference I think.
I was in your situation this time last year and unfortunately in my case there wasn’t a happy ending. I was told I’m measuring 6 +2 when I was supposed to be at least 7 +4 and the sonographer told me to go back in at least 10 days as my dates are most probably our. I was 100% sure though that my dates were correct as I new when I had sex that month so when I went back she confirmed the miscarriage and I miscarried naturally a week later. This is not to say that your case will be the same, you know your body best and you still have a really good chance because all pregnancies are different and in some cases heartbeat takes longer to appear. Good luck x

I also thought I was around 7 weeks but turned out Baby measured more 6+2.
Try not to overthink- although heartbeat was visible to me they didn’t advise scans before 7 weeks as it was common to be unable to detect the heartbeat earlier on

Thanks guys! I’m so nervous to wait for the next scan on the 1st😭 I’ve had no bleeding at all and still having sore boobs and severe sickness so hopefully it means things are still progressing

You could have ovulated later in your cycle and only be around 6 weeks.
Dating from your last period assumes that you have a 28 day cycle and ovulate on day 14.
I wouldn't worry yet.

I went for a scan at 8+1 and there was a heartbeat. Even though the clinic did scans from 6, they advise you to from 8 for this very reason. Hang in there x
