I am due in a couple of days and I am lookinh forward to being able to wear my wedding ring again! My hands have gone bigger since I was about 7 months and the summer didn’t help.
I now fear this is going to be my new finger size - surely they will go smaller a few weeks after giving birth!? If that happened to you, may I ask tou when your hands went back to normal size?

Around 4 months postpartum I think.

It took a while, DD1 was born end July and I didnt get my rings back on until January! I also put on a lot of weight though so that may have also contributed. Didnt need to take rings off with DD2 though.

I’m 6 months now and was wondering do all women take their rings off as they get uncomfortable? I don’t want them to get stuck.. they are quite tight now so should I take them off now while (if I can)?

I'm currently 30 weeks and still wearing mine. I thought to myself at one point in my early second trimester that my rings were getting loose than tight.

I balloon after giving birth but the swelling had gone down enough to get my rings back on after a few weeks I think.

To PP, I'd suggest taking your rings off now if they're getting tight. Honestly thought I was going to need to get them cut off in my last pregnancy 🙈

@Whatinthename20 I would get them off now - I took mine off and bought a not very expensive chain from Amazon so I can still wear them every day but not at the risk of needing to get them cut off!

Chanel05 · 21/08/2020 15:39

I'm 36+3 and mine are off.

The chain is a good idea!

I have had swollen fingers since about 10 weeks! Have bought a cheap silver band a couple of sizes up for now as don't like having nothing there but might get a gold chain for my real wedding ring as I feel guilty not wearing it!

I'm 37w and took mine off about a week ago; woke up one morning and they were a bit tight (BP etc all normal) so I've just swapped for a silicone ring. Hoping they'll go back to normal pretty quickly!

I ballooned after both in my feet and hands so it took a few months
