Anyone used a kegel device during/after pregnancy?

I've been reading about pelvic floor and kegel exercises for a while. I've been doing kegels with the help of an app (sporadically though) but don't know where I'm at strength-wise.

I thought I was in good shape but as I'm now 25 weeks, I've been having trouble holding pee in when I laugh or sneeze. So I caved and ordered myself a device that can measure the strength of pelvic floor. It's like blood pressure device for down there. There are bluetooth versions of these as well but this is what I could find.

Does anyone have experience using likes of these? Did it improve your condition?

I've got the elvie and have been using it since early pregnancy (I'm 32 weeks now) it tracks the strength and I do seem to be improving.

I do the exercises lying down and I'm not sure if thats 'cheating' and I should do them standing up instead. Its a mixture of pulses, squeezes, hold and release etc.

I'm a FTM and haven't had any problems thus far so hard to know if its improving or not but my scores are gradually increasing. I'm hoping its preventative and will help with recovery post birth!

I’ve been wondering about the Elvie. It’s so pricey though. Does it help you with technique? I worry that I’m not actually doing it properly x

I use it 4 or 5 times a week and there is a routine you follow in the app which takes about 5 mins.

That was the reason I got it to be honest as I was never sure if I was doing the kegels correctly and at least this tracks/ gives feedback. I do think often it’s to do with positioning though, some days I smash the tasks and other days it’s so hard!
