Hi guys!! I’ve found out I’m approx 4/5 weeks pregnant a couple of days ago, I informed the hospital and they wanted to see me to check me over as I have pre existing health conditions. They did a scan, and an internal scan and said they couldn’t see a gestational sack but I do have an introverted uterus. She was quite unhelpful and didn’t explain why I couldn’t see anything 😭 they did blood tests after to measure my beta levels and they came back as 240. I’m not sure what any of this means as it’s my first time but I’m so so worried 😭 I have to have more blood taken tomorrow to measure my levels again, is 240 a normal level for how far along they think I am?

All normal! Congratulations :)
It’s a bit sad she didn’t explain it to you :(
Hcg level of 240 means you wouldn’t expect to see anything at all. Esp if retroverted uterus. For reference, you expect to see something at a level of about 1500 or so on internal scan.
240 is a perfectly normal number for 4-5 weeks - it’s hard to read into that too much.
For reference, you usually want to see your HCG go up by at least 60% in 48 hrs - so anythi iver 380 will also be normal. If that’s all reassuring you shouldn’t really have another scan for at least 2 weeks - 1 week at a bare minimum unless there’s something else going on.
Again congratulations.

Hi 240 is normal for 4 weeks but low for 5 weeks but doubling numbers is also important. A sac won't be seenthe hcg over 1500 - hopefully your hospital will rescan you x

I think that’s ok for 4 weeks. Off the top of my head mine was around 540 but everyone is different the main thing is that they are doubling every 48 hours - are you due for another test?

Thank you so much everyone! I’m due to have my blood taken again today so fingers crossed for good news
