Bad water retention & numb tingly arms

Currently 13 weeks pregnant & suffering horrendous swollen feet due to water retention , compression socks help slightly but pretty much been told nothing I can do about it.

This morning , & the past few mornings I've woke up with tingling sensations in my hands & arms
I wouldn't describe them as pins & needles tho

At first , I thought if slept funny but it takes ages to disappear. I've tried putting my hands in the air & moving them around to free the flow of blood but like I said , it takes ages

Does anyone know if this is something to be concerned about or is it just one of those things us ladies have to deal with ?

I seem to always get pregnancy carpal tunnel, could be that?

Maincat · 13/08/2020 11:12

Sounds like carpal tunnel. I found wearing wrist splints at night helped to reduce the symptoms.

Dollywilde · 13/08/2020 11:14

Yep, carpal tunnel. Try a wrist splint. You’re unlucky to have it come on so early Sad I thought I’d dodged it only for it to come on at 36 weeks!

Thank you ladies. I've googled it & it does sound like carpal tunnel

@Dollywilde extremely unlucky 😂

Before I had my 12 week scan , all the stuff that was happening to me made me think I must be further ahead than I thought because I was always told " that doesn't happen until second / third trimester "

I suppose it's just one of them things I can't avoid
