My period is late but no unprotected sex?

Hi.

Just the above really.. We haven't been particularly active and each time has been with a condom.
My period is like clockwork, never late but it has been early.

I'm slightly worried because this isn't planned..

Any advice?

Do a test? Periods can be delayed for all sorts of reasons.

If you’re worried then take a test.

Condoms are 100%.

You can get tests these days that can tell if you are pregnant even before your missed period. A day late is fine to do a test.

You can use a first response one several days behold you’re due. But if you’re only a day late it could be anything causing it.

Sometimes people just miss periods and theres no reason for it. I missed a couple of periods and the GP said sometimes it just happens if you dont ovulate one month.

Gosh I'm in a similar boat as my period is 9 days late now.

Since ttc I learnt about everything to do with the fertile window and never have sex 3 days before/ after (it's tracked on an app)

I've done a test and it's negative...

Yes you can do a standard one the day you are due. If you're one day late it could be anything.

I am getting what I can only describe spotting now. Dunno if it's period, but I've got a lower belly ache..

I've been pregnant before, and I lost my baby hence I'm really really worried because I found out my pregnancy is going to be quite complicated. I don't know if I'm ready for this.. I thought we were safe :s

If you’ve had sex you could be pregnant - no contraception is 100% effective. You need to take a test, especially if being pregnant would not be straight forward.

As @PotteringAlong has said above, no contraception is 100% effective. Take a test :-)

I've been in the same boat before and I made it worse by worrying - to the point where I was making myself feel sick and convinced I was experiencing morning sickness! It's tough but try to stay calm xx
