Loss of Appetite

Hi! I'm 21 weeks pregnant and had a rough first trimester with vomiting and nausea. I've had an awful taste in my mouth the entire time too - and still have it. It's really made me lose my appetite. I know the second trimester is supposed to be when appetites return but, even though I'm not nauseous etc, I just don't ever fancy food. Lots of foods make the bad taste in my mouth worse e.g. chocolate/crisps and the thought of fried or fatty foods makes me want to hurl! I have zero cravings and mainly just food aversions. Has anyone had this for their whole pregnancy? I worry I'm not eating enough calories for the baby. I force weetabix down every morning and then a salad for lunch but honestly, after that I wish I could stop eating until the next morning because the bitter taste is so severe. I force some food down for dinner for baby's sake but mainly throw it up again due to the taste. Any tips for appetite loss and to get calories up? I've been told milkshake/smoothies is a good one as lots of calories and easy to drink. Honestly - if I'd eaten like this before pregnancy I'd probably be in weight loss heaven right now 😂 but it's not as fun when you're trying to grow a healthy baby. Thank you!

Following as I'm also experiencing the same! The only thing I could stomach in my first trimester was cereal, lost quite a bit of weight but haven't gained any back yet (currently 18 weeks). Sickness and food aversions have gone, just finding that I can't eat an awful lot in one go and that I don't want to eat either sometimes / never feel hungry (this was never a problem before being pg! Confused)
