I'm coming up to 12 weeks and have started getting some awful headaches - I'm taking paracetamol then staying hydrated - maybe it's something to do with the heat? I'm a FTM so I'm only guessing 😊

I get headaches, spoke to my midwife at my 16 week appointment last week and she said its really common and probably a combination of hormones, heat and dehydration.. Wasn't concerned at all..

I’m 14+3 and have had a permanent headache for nearly two months now. It’s relentless, and I find myself crying constantly! Paracetamol doesn’t touch the sides so I have one paracetamol with caffeine in a day when they get really bad (more migraine than headache). Which upsets me because I specifically went caffeine free for a whole year prior to finally falling pregnant, and now I’m pregnant I’m putting caffeine in my body Sad But other than that nothing works, no amount of hydration, food, rest, time away from the screen, nothing.

I spoke to the docs about this and they did offer amitriptyline but I declined as the word ‘risk’ was used in the same sentence.

Sorry to be such a misery!

I had this really bad starting at 12 weeks, would have headaches that would last about 2 or 3 days at a time and made me feel so unwell.

I spoke to my midwife about it at my 16 week appointnent and she suggested that I eat something every 2 hours during the day (doesn't have to be anything too heavy between meals, just a couple of plain biscuits with a drink or fruit) and she also recommended that I drink closer to 2.5/3 litres of water a day. I was a bit skeptical as I was already drinking the recommended 2 litres daily, but I have to admit since making the changes I haven't had any headaches for the last couple of weeks (currently 18 weeks).

Awful. I really found sinus strips helped. Felt sooo good! Still wear them at night now!
