Hi all,
not sure if this is in the right forum, if not i apologise.

I am just wondering how people have found the 'freebies' from websites such as Emma's diary and Your baby club? I don't know if its just me but I haven't found anything that's been worth while. They seem a complete waste of time?

Has anybody had any luck? anything worth signing up to?

thanks

I completely agree, they always seem to promise loads of great freebies etc but I haven't found anything yet!

Also I've been looking to pick-up my mum-to-be bounty pack but can't find anywhere that has them, anyone had any luck??

All the freebies are total crap and you pay for them by letting them sell your data.

Don't bother!

@Rainy88 I got the first emmas diary pack from the midwife, and the final pack from bounty. I am only 17 weeks but they were just giving out the excess they had left.

The most useful thing in them was a leaflet about labour!

They are all shit. Just a way for you to sell your data in return for 10ml of Persil and a tiny pot of sudocreme.

Looked like a load of tat to me, a few crap free samples. Too much plastic already so haven’t bothered getting any of them.

When I had my first baby five years ago you got really good stuff in the packs, full packs of nappies and wipes, pregnancy vitamins, baby gro, baby bottle, hooded towel, loads of samples. I had enough Persil and fabric conditioner to last two weeks.

When I had my second baby last year all I got was bags of leaflets and a couple of tiny samples of Sudo cream. I got the Emma's Diary bags from Argos but they weren't worth the walk going to get them!

My hospital doesn't give out Bounty Packs because they sell your personal details to third party companies in return for giving you the bag and the hospital doesn't agree with that.

Sign up for these things and you will get loads of phone calls trying to sell you life insurance and children's book packages!

The only thing I've found which has been good is the Boots parenting club, I've had a free MAM bottle, vitamins and breast pads so far and loads of extra advantage card points!

fedupandlookingforchange · 07/08/2020 12:19

I've just got a newborn bounty pack and there was a full pack of wipes, 4 nappies, vitamin drops, sudocrem, and some washing liquid samples. I was quite impressed. Boots parenting club is good as well.

Your Baby Club is a scam I believe. The Emma's Diary packs have been out of stock most places, I eventually got one of each of the first two (pink and purple) and they just had very small samples in. I wouldnt go out of your way to get them.

The Bounty pack was out of stock when I tried to get it.

By far the best freebies I've got have been the Boots Parenting Club ones (advantage card add on). You can sign up online. I got a free MAM bottle, free box of disposable breast pads, free folic acid and vitamin D tablets and theres also a Child's Farm sample pack which I couldnt get because it was out of stock. Parenting Club offers appeared on my Boots app about a week after I signed up, and some additional ones came as paper vouchers in the post.

Not worth it. One gets hold of your data and then you’ll be hounded by the lot of them. The hassle is not worth it for a couple of free nappies and some sample sized creams! It’s mostly leaflets in the packs anyway 🙄

I got a baby toothpaste in my Emma's Diary labour pack. Useful for a newborn 🤣
