Hey so I'm 6 weeks pregnant and I have nausea every day all day!! Touch wood I haven't been sick just yet managing to control it.

Yes I have a fear of being sick too which doesn't help.

Docs has prescribed me anti sickness medication to take.

Not sure what it is just yet but has anyone else had this and do you feel it works?

I had severe sickness and went though three drugs before
I was put on ondansetron - it was life changing. Wonderful stuff.

If what they have given you isn’t working fully, go back. You don’t have to suffer, try to find the drug that suits you.

I’m on cyclizine. It’s not perfect, and it makes me sleepy so I found it tough during first trimester as I was exhausted anyway, but it does take the edge off and it got me through the worst days.

i was given cyclizine and it didn't help at all. I'm now on Stemetil (Prochlorperazine) and it's changed my life. As long as I keep on top of the tablets I am now rarely sick and much less nauseous. If I don't take it, I can't do anything.

I'm still on Xonvea (23 weeks pregnant now). I do half the max dose. I forgot to take them one night. The next day I woke up so sick, and then finally realised why. It doesn't cure my sickness 100% but it definitely takes the edge off so I can have some kind of normal life (my sickness isnt as bad now anyway, compared to during the 6 to 18 weeks period).

Hiya, are you still taking Xonvea now? I’ve had HG since week 6, started Xonvea at week 12 and it has been a life saver. However this week at my 20 week scan I was told to just stop them ‘as sickness should go at 20 weeks’ which I did just stop them. And oh boy am I paying for it now, luckily my consultant is going to re prescribe them, however I am a little apprehensive the fact it’s looking like they’re going to have to stay till my baby is born. Sad

I went through a few before it worked. Ended up with cyclizine. Also I found taking it at bedtime made it better and I woke up less sick. Are you taking pregnancy vitamins I found pregnacare made me really sick changed to boots own and was much better.
