If, like me, you're in the later stages of pg, you might have noticed that there's now certain day to day things that you struggle to do because of the bump. Aside from the lack of booze and certain foods etc, what sort of things are you looking forward to doing again once the LO is born?

For me it's:

  • Bending down without having to spread my legs to compensate for the bump;

  • Being able to sit kinda "side saddle" on the side of my bed and do my make up;

  • Doing my shoelaces up whilst still being able to breathe!

  • Painting my own toenails;

  • Turning over in bed without the need for military precision planning and 1,000 pillows.

That's all i can think of for now....

i'm soooo pleased that everyone is having similar experiences to me. I think you can sometimes feel like its you and bump against the world - its nice that we all struggle with the same things.

I can't wait to move from sitting / lying to standing without the moans and groans, all the food and drink i have stopped and yip the sex (this is not through lack of trying but just finding it impossible at the mo tmi, even the thought that it could spur on LO's arrival isn't enough)

I'm also really excited about meeting lo and seeing DH's face when he gets to hold lo for the first time!!!!

Lying on my belly to read.

Sex without a big baby belly getting in the way.

Throwing people around (aikido) which is a bit dangerous in pregnancy and besides I've kind of lost interest lately.

Being able to walk more than half a block without coughing from acid reflux!

and of course the baby!

Not having to scarf down loads of Gaviscon whilst holding something else to drink immediately to take away the taste once I've swallowed & stopped gagging. [vom]
DH & I in the same bed, at least till one of us is in the spare room with new baby & probably DD.
Lying on tummy or back without feeling uncomfortable or guilty I'm doing some damage to somebody.
Putting on all the little tiny clothes that are lying ready & I don't mean mine once I've lost this giant belly

Rolling over in bed without requiring a complex strategy, four or five attempts, a lot of puffing and swearing and cricking and crying at the pelvic pain.

Ditto getting out of the bed. And bath.

Being able to carry the shopping home.

It's the simple things. I wish I'd appreciated it before!
