Cramps in very early pregnancy

Hi everyone

I've just this morning had a positive pregnancy test (albeit a pretty faint line, I reckon I'm v early on). For the past few days, coinciding with when my period would usually start, I've had mild period-like cramps. I've read in lots of places that some cramping is normal around implantation, but I'm I feel like I'm going to start my period any minute. The pain really isn't that bad (I've had far, far worse menstrual pain than this), just a dull ache and the odd twinge, and it comes and goes.

I'm sure there are similar threads, but I wonder if someone could give me a bit of reassurance or share their experience.

Thanks!

I'm exactly the same! BFP today and been cramping on and off for a few days including this morning!

Hey! I had cramps everyday for the first 6 weeks of my pregnancy x

Thanks for the comments! I've just confirmed this mornings very faint line with a Clearblue week calculator, and it's confirmed 1-2 weeks, so all good so far... Smile

Congratulations. Yes I have had the same, I’m 6 weeks today and they’re lessening now.

Tarantallegra · 05/08/2020 15:00

I just had a positive test yesterday after being over 2 weeks late and I'm experiencing exactly the same thing. Really re-assuring to see others say the same thing so thought I'll chime in and say me too. Congratulations!

Yep same! I got my BFP on Monday and am 4w4d apparently. I’ve had light cramping and twinges since then and also a lot of bloating. Hoping it all normal

ticktackted · 05/08/2020 16:41

I had lots of cramps early on, all is well at 27 weeks! Congratulations

hellymum21 · 05/08/2020 16:58

I've had cramps regularly (mostly around week 6) and I'm still having some at 8+3. Had a scan last week due to some spotting and two previous early miscarriages and all was perfect! I had no cramps first two times so I'm actually thinking cramps are the norm!

LaMadrilena · 05/08/2020 17:14

Thanks everyone for all the reassurance! And congratulations to everyone just getting their BFPs!

I forgot to mention the bloating, it's a nightmare. I get bloated when I'm really hungry, and I'm really REALLY hungry!

I'm 11 +6 and had cramp throughout and its normal stretching pain

BuffaloCauliflower · 05/08/2020 19:11

Yep I had some cramping too, and some full on stabby pains in my ovary too (turns out it’s a cyst that secretes hormones to help with implantation)

Basically Mother Nature’s cruel trick is to make everything in pregnant that’s fine feel the same as everything that’s not fine...

Navabb34 · 07/08/2020 16:28

Cramps stopped yesterday so now I'm worried about that instead ha Hmm

Ha, I know, it's a nightmare. Mine come and go and I'm checking my knickers every half hour. They seem to ease a bit with exercise.

I hope everything is fine with your pregnancies ladies .
I am due my period end of the month but as it's our first moth of TTC , I am feeling very odd ...
Lots of cramps , and gurgling sounds and nausea in the evening ?

Surely it's a bit early to be feeling like this? Meaning it's probably just PMS ?

I did a test yesterday and it was negative but I am aware it's too soon to test anyway . Need to wait until atleast next week if not the week after
