Cramping both sides, twins or not?

Is cramping on both sides during early pregnancy a sign of twins?

I’m 4 weeks pregnant and mild cramping on and off from both sides, with my DS had no cramps and with MMC I had it low on one side? I know ectopic pregnancies can have pain on one side so is pain on both sides normal or could there be two implanting?

I know ultrasound is the only way to know but as I’m too early and curious I would like to know other people’s input and/or personal journey with twins?

Is this your first?

I've not had twins but with my first I was cramping on both sides, was told it was normal and just my uterus growing, I had the cramps on and off till I was around 8 weeks. Sorry no help with twins.

@MumOfTwoBoyssss ah right, it’s probably normal! We’ve been TTC for a while so I’m over anxious and over excited! Part of me scared of MC cramps and the other is imagining two in there Grin

I'm pregnant with twins and haven't had any cramping so you can't really tell from this symptom alone x
