Hi ladies for maybe 2 days my gum has been a bit sore and inflamed around one tooth I'm scared it's gum disease and because it's the weekend I can't even call my dentist until Monday morning 😩

Hi, I'm prone to gum disease even before pregnancy. It sucks.

The best thing is to try and remove any plaque with flossing/intradental sticks etc. It will make your gums bleed when flossing if it is gum disease. Book an appointment with the dentist as soon as you can and they should clean them professionally at the same time x

Then just keep flossing and using corsodyl (but flossing is the most important bit!) I have to brush and floss religiously 3 times a day to stop it coming back.

@Smiling89 thank you soo much for your reply I'm sorry that you had to go through that with your gums ❣️I will follow what you say and also book a appointment with my dentist x

Yep and definitely use an electric toothbrush if you don’t already. Made a huge difference to my rubbish teeth!

Hi, I'm a dental nurse.
Agree with the other comments, really amp up the brushing/flossing and interdental brushes. It will bleed a lot but this isn't necessarily a bad sign, means you are cleaning out the right area. Deep cleaning at your dentist will help if they are doing it now x
