Will a newborn snowsuit be too warm if not allowed to wear in car?
I’m wondering if beat babygrow hat and blanket will be enough.
Thanks

I'm due beginning of October. We're planning on vest + sleepsuit + cardigan + blanket. She'll be going from the hospital door to a waiting car right outside, then straight in the house so a snowsuit/pramsuit seemed like overkill to us (plus like you said I don't think they're supposed to wear them in a car seat!).

Due very end of October. Planning on vest+sleep suit+hat+star wrap.

DS2 was born in October. He came home in a vest, velour (?) Sleepsuit, cardigan, hat and blanket. It's the exact same outfit that August born DS1 wore home Smile

Ds was a November baby, he came home in a sleep suit and snuggly baby grow thing, a hat and gloves with a cellular blanket. It was a short trip from hospital to car and then car to house.

It was this snuggly suit, warm and cosy but not too thick/unsafe in a car seat. The newborn size fit him until 3 months too:

I'll second the Tuppence and Crumble star wrap, absolutely loved ours as not bulky but still very warm they have a hood too which is great when you have a child that pulls off hats! They are quite often on eBay in good condition but they are about £25 new so ideal as a present if someone wants to buy a gift in the price area. They do bobble a bit on washing but not loads and they dry super-quick too.
