Due Feb 2021 - 9 weeks Pregnant symptoms reduced

Hello,

I just wondered if anyone else had experienced reduced symptoms around 9 weeks. I had strong food aversions/ nausea between 6-8 weeks and then its been really on and off since then (far less severe though) which makes me a little bit anxious. I haven't had extreme tiredness or really tender breast which everyone seems to have! I did however have a private scan at 7weeks 4 days and saw a healthy baby with a heart beat which is reassuring.

I try to keep myself grounded but does anyone else spend there first trimester constantly wondering if everything is ok? I could do with a large glass of (wine). Its exhausting (smile)

Pen x

I could have written this post myself! I'm 9+6 and feel like my nausea is really starting to wear off and I'm concerned a little too! And just like you I had an early scan last week and little bubs was healthy etc but I can't help but worry 🙈

Everything I've read and even the MW said that around this time my symptoms would start to fade but it's almost like our symptoms give us a little reassurance all is ok!?

Great to know you're feeling similar to me and I'm not the only one! xx

I hear you. I felt sick all the time between 5/6-9weeks. Then overnight sickness disappeared. It wasn’t even like a gradual thing just, bamb, they’re gone. I also never got sore boobs or emotional or any other symptoms just the nausea. I am now 20w with a healthy baby so I’d say please try not to worry but I know exactly how you feel!

Bumble84 · 30/07/2020 15:03

Oh and a couple of people have said to me that must mean I’m having a boy 🤷‍♀️

The placenta starts to kick in sometime between 9-11 weeks, and many people start feeling fewer symptoms around that time.

All my symptoms disappeared between 8 and 10 weeks. I freaked out as I lost the morning sickness, tender boobs everything!
But it all came back full force. I'm now 37 weeks and all is healthy.
It is very normal for your early symptoms to come and go xx

I’m exactly the same. I’m 11+5 now but from pretty much the day my period was due until a couple of weeks ago I was exhausted to the point I could barely get out of bed, had no appetite, really bloated and thought I looked huge and was certain I was either having a huge baby or twins, constant nausea but little to no sickness right enough, really tender/sore boobs and just generally felt miserable. Then one day all symptoms disappeared and I’ve felt much better since and actually strangely feel less pregnant than I did at the start, and no bump or bloating so I feel like I look slimmer than I did for weeks. It’s all very strange. This is my second and with my first I had no symptoms whatsoever the entire time until near my due date when my ankles got really swollen!

Thank you everybody for your reassuring responses.

Having read plenty of other threads this afternoon on Mumsnet talking about reduced symptoms i can see its very common around this time. I just wish the 'pregnancy info websites' would say that, because all i read at the moment is that hormones peak around 9 weeks and its usually when you feel your worst... unhelpful!

I do appreciate they want people to talk to their GP or midwives if they are worried but it would be nice to have it written somewhere that not everyone get sore boobs, headaches, sickness etc... I forgot to add this is my second baby and i assumed the anxiety wouldn't be far less than the first. Apparently not!

I'm terrible at waiting but this is one thing you can't speed up! ohhh well, its all very exciting anyway.

@MyGossip It seems as though we are pretty much due around the same time as i am 9 weeks +5. My due date at the moment is right at the end of February. Good to know we are feeling the same!

@Bumble84 Interesting as my first was a boy and I didn't really get any symptoms and i have with this one... who knows!

Thanks again everyone.
