Pushing people about in wheelchairs when pregnant. Is it safe?

Hello,
I’m 9 weeks pregnant and work in a care home. Most of the people I look after weigh more than me, is it safe to continue pushing them about in a wheelchair? I am hoping it’s fine as my employer is not especially flexible so I doubt they would permit me not to do this.

Your employer has a duty of care to provide a full risk assessment and adjust your duties accordingly.

Tough if they're not flexible, it's part of employment law.

FWIW though, I wouldn't be too worried about the wheelchairs.

Personally wouldn’t bother me, if you’re used to doing it already you should be fine. I still push heavy wheelbarrows across fields at 28 weeks, but I’m used to that pre pregnancy. Midwife has even commented on my abs twice now and that’s the only exercise I’ve been doing 😂
