Headaches end of 2nd trimester?

Anyone getting bad headaches? I am 23 weeks and been getting them on and off. I did call midwife and triage about 2 weeks ago and was told it was nothing like pre-eclampsia as too early. I thought it was work and screens and it went away. However on holiday now and I am getting awful headaches again. Waking up in the night with them or they come out of nowhere and are really pretty bad. Some go away with paracetamol but others I need to take a co-codamol.

Last week had check up and blood pressure is completely normal. Yet back to bad headaches.

To add, I am pretty sure it isn't dehydration. Drinking a good amount of water. Headache is low at back of head but can become frontal too.

Do you wear glasses? Might be worth an opticians appointment.

I get headaches a lot (both before and during pregnancy) and base of the neck for me tend to be stress/tension headaches. When stressed, I would grind my teeth in my sleep & wake up with day long headaches. A mouthguard from Amazon has really helped.

I would keep on at your midwife for regular blood & urine tests though to spot any changes.

I'm 37+4 now and have suffered with horrible headaches during this pregnancy - particularly from the mid 2nd trimester to now.

I've got bad swelling too so been tested for pre eclampsia but all seems ok and they are just putting it down to dehydration (I've had extra scans for other reasons and baby is absolutely fine).

I'm surprised at dehydration too as I drink a minimum of 2 litres a day but the heat combined with my water retention/swelling and the fact my sickness is back must be having an impact as my urine is still pretty concentrated.

I have glasses for reading but they are a few years old so might need new ones.

I wonder about the dehydration even though I drink a lot.

Will keep on at the midwife as the headaches are really bad. They don't seem too interested though..
