I know the old wives tale is that everyone is sicker with a girl - I’ve two boys and had HG both time’s.

Now pregnant with child no 3 and I have absolutely no sickness aside from feeling tired and positive pregnancy test I would have no idea.

If you has opposite gender were your symptoms different ?

I was sicker with my girl. Also I carried the weight all around whereas my boy bump went straight out on front. I'm pregnant with my 3rd and feel like it's a girl based on last time but I have 4 weeks until all is revealed at my scan!

FirstTimeBumps · 26/07/2020 17:21

Have had identical symptoms with this one (girl) as I did with my boy

sucha · 26/07/2020 17:25

Identical symptoms for boy and girl here too

Kb28 · 26/07/2020 17:37

Hi I’m FTM at 22 weeks pregnant so haven’t anything really to compare it with but everyone said I would definitely be having a boy since similar to you I had only tiredness as a symptom and wasnt sick at all really... but found out at 16 weeks it’s a girl and had it double checked last week to say still a girl so I guess not all old wives tales come true! Good luck with your pregnancy

Footlooseandfancy · 26/07/2020 17:38

All the symptoms last time - girl
None of the symptoms this time - girl

I felt sick all day with my girl but I was physically sick more with my boy and it passed by 9-10am

Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese · 26/07/2020 17:40

The only difference I had was severe heartburn with ds, but think that's down to the old wives tale of hairy child... Its true he had the blackest head of hair and was furry to his feet Grin dd caused no heartburn, apparently she'll cause headaches as she gets older haha

Quercusrobur · 26/07/2020 17:43

Hello, I’ve had two boys and now pregnant with a girl. I’ve had quite different symptoms this time: sickness in first trimester, different shaped bump, more tearful, tired, generally felt much, much worse with this one! Must be a relief for you to have skipped the HG this time round 😀

HGwarrior · 26/07/2020 17:47

Thank you all for your responses @Kb28 interesting you are having a girl with no symptoms thanks for this I worried generally about viability of this pregnancy due to my extreme symptoms with my boys and being on strong meds. @user1493413286 interesting that you are physically sick with boy only. X

@Quercusrobur thank you For the response I am worried something is wrong as I’m
Not being sick and am trying to put this down to some other rational reason like opposite gender x

I have 2 girls. HG with the first, minimal symptoms with the 2nd. Pregnant with no3 only
7 weeks so not sure on gender but similar symptoms to my first

Piper10 · 26/07/2020 18:06

@HGwarrior @Quercusrobur several of us here on 3rd pregnancy. I am 18weeks with my 3rd, 2ds already. I had a little nausea with boys but fairly simple pregnancies. With this one absolutely no symptoms, other than the postive test and scan/heartbeat, and growing bump. Would not have believed it. Every pregnancy if different and all but i am trying not to worry but with ds' i felt both of them move constantly, ds2 from 12 weeks. This one, not even so much as a flutter yet!
@HGwarrior try not to worry, although i totally get why. Will you find out gender?

HGwarrior · 26/07/2020 18:20

@Piper10 thank you for the kind words, I have been waiting to feel And be sick as that is my experience in my husband is finding the experience bizarre x

I had constant sickness with ds but nothing with this one. I've talked myself out of thinking it's a girl due to last of symptoms. Only 12 weeks though so can't find out yet

Carouselfish · 26/07/2020 18:48

Reading with interest as sex a surprise this time round and have totally different and way worse symptoms this time round than I did with DD.

Teakind · 26/07/2020 19:02

I craved salty foods with my DD and sweet things with my DS (which is apparently the wrong way round).

I did carry more neatly with my DS though so that one was correct.

HGwarrior · 26/07/2020 20:29

Thank you all for
Your responses a bit of mixed bag ! I will keep you updated when I find out if it’s a different gender x

I’ve had near identical pregnancies. My first was a boy and now I’m carrying a girl. I’ve never been sick in either pregnancy.

Jiminycricketp · 26/07/2020 21:19

I had extreme morning (all day) sickness with my first 2 pregnancies, I was sick all day everyday up until the day they were born and they were both boys
My third pregnancy I had a nauseous feeling for the first few weeks but no actual sickness and it was a girl

HGwarrior · 26/07/2020 22:26

@Jiminycricketp thanks so much for this response no one else in my family has had boys so I wonder if they did would they have also been ill, good to know it can go other way x

Girl or boy

Spied · 06/06/2021 19:33

@Khaliq1
Boy.

Op I had sickness with ds.
I can't recall anything like that with DD. Actually despite having a baby ds to deal with when pregnant with dd I felt amazing.
