Formula recommendation for potentially colicy/silent reflux baby

Hi everyone,

For various reasons, I am choosing to FF baby number 2, who is due on 4th Aug. My first son was extremely colicy throughout the newborn stage, coupled with silent reflux and an eventual CMPA diagnosis. To put it bluntly, the newborn stage was extremely difficult! We initially struggled with Aptamil before being put on prescription milk from the doctor. After climbing the milk ladder, DS eventually went onto hipp organic from 8 months old (which he flourished on!). I was keen to use this from the get go with my DD, but have since found threads stating the formula has significantly changed? I’ve found good reviews of Aldi Mamia and wondering whether to try this? I’m basically terrified of having another silent reflux/cmpa baby (which I know is unavoidable if it is the case). Did anyone have a first born with these problems and second/subsequent children completely fine? Thank you! X

I don’t know when you read the reviews on the HIPP recipe, but we used it from June 2018-June 2019 with my extremely colicky / refluxy son and it was much better than other brands. I’m currently pregnant again so am interested if if has changed recipe. HIPP and infant gaviscon were the only things to get us through the first 16 weeks, seriously the hardest time of my life (yet I’m doing it again Grin)
