Hey, was just wondering when the best time to wash all of baby's stuff is? I'm currently 32 weeks and don't really know when to start washing everything. Thank you x

How long will it take you? 😂

Just do it whenever you want. Nows a good time.

Life is far too short to wash clean clothes. And once they are washed all the things you realise you’ve got that you don’t need you can’t return.

I wouldn’t (and didn’t) wash anything until it had been worn and was dirty.

I started around then. Make the most of the nice weather for drying :)

I started around 32 weeks and have only just got on top of it (36 weeks), just added to my whites/darks in the end!

I'm 32 weeks and have just started, don't want to be doing that right at the end or not be ready if baby comes early.

I'm 29 weeks and currently washing everything, it's taking me absolutely ages! They're going in the chest of drawers so they'll stay clean until she's here anyway.

IMO just because they're new doesn't mean they're clean. Washing them before baby comes removes some of the chemicals (if they're not organic cotton) and who knows if someone has bought/returned that specific item of clothing!

Wash what you need for the first week or so. Don’t take the tags off everything now though as you’ll almost certainly find that some of it doesn’t suit for various reasons and you won’t be able to return/exchange/regift.

I washed early and was really glad, was way to tired and fed up towards the end of pregnancy. I was also glad I washed them as my dd has sensitive skin, any new clothes not washed results in a rash.

I washed everything at about 34 weeks. I waited until I had a good drying weekend and not too much washing of our own to do. I'm doing cloth nappies and they need to be washed twice before use for improvement absorbance.
Odd bits and pieces that have been bought or acquired since (hand-me-downs) have gone in our regular wash and I've done washed that load with the non-bio.
