12 weeks but measured 10+6 advice

Hi all,

I went for my 12 week scan last Friday but the sonographer measured me at 10+6 and said it was too early to do any screening tests. (Which does work out with when I ovulated)
She asked if I wanted them done and I said yes but then she didn’t tell me anything else about it?

I haven’t had another scan rebooked other than my 20 week scan in September.

What happens now?
I do want to have the screening done but it feels like because I was earlier than expected, I’m not able to have it done now?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Xx

THEY should have booked you in for another scan nearer to 12 weeks.
Can u call your midwife and ask for that to be booked?

Thanks, @Ducky1900 I did think they should of rebooked me in or something.
All it says on my notes is “too early for NT advised to have quad test at 15 weeks”
I will give my midwife a ring tomorrow and see if I can have another scan as I’ll ‘officially’ be 12 weeks on Saturday.

This happened to me, I went for what should have been 12 week scan but measured at 10+6 and said it was too early for screening tests. She booked me in there and then for another scan for when I was 12 weeks and I had the screening tests then! 22 weeks now Smile

Similar thing happened to me, I was 11+1 so couldn’t have the combined screening. Booked me in for a scan and quad test at 19 weeks instead, it’s because of Covid apparently.
