12 week scan nerves

I know there's been many threads on the 12 week scan (I've read them all!) but haven't seen any really recent ones. I have my first ever scan tomorrow and am so nervous. I'm terrified there's something wrong etc and was just wondering if anyone has any advice on how to reduce the worry?

I'm 24, first pregnancy and would be 12+6 tomorrow going by lmp..

@Tallulahs09 yeah it's the 8th Sept (at 9:30am! Not waiting all day again!) but I've also book a private scan for around 18 weeks. When's yours?

Mines 8th September too at 8:45, I picked the morning so wasn't having to wait around too.
Are you going to find out the gender at 18 weeks? I'm thinking of booking one around that time too x

@Tallulahs09 ooh! I reckon all our appointments will be on similar dates. And yeah I've booked for 22nd August so just over 18 weeks.. Seems like forever away still! X

I had my 12 week scan yesterday to be told baby does at 9.5 weeks. Now waiting for a natural mc. Was traumatic and very tough with no partner there.

Thanks @Pol96, I’m not feeling hopeful. My not really believing ( but hoping) has turned into pure anxiety the last 3 days as I started spotting. I’m even convinced that the nausea is anxiety more than mornings sickness & my stomach’s in knots.

How long did people’s scans take? My DP is in a new job. He can’t leave home until 14:00. So will probably be at the hospital grounds (not allowed in) for 14:20. My appointment is 13:40.

My scan didn't take long, maybe 15 minutes, but I was waiting a while for bloods etc to be done so was there maybe an hour and 15 minutes. X

It wasn’t to be for me. Awaiting ‘medical management’ to take it’s course.

Got my fingers crossed for a happier outcome for @IronMummy28.

My scan went well today - thanks for your kind wishes. Really thought I was having a boy but now I’ve u-turned and I’m thinking girl! x
