hey just after some advice or similar experience, my hubby just accidentally let go of a piece of wood and it just caught my belly and hit my leg, just a bit worried it would of hurt the baby I'm almost 15 weeks

Your baby is perfectly fine. They are very well protected in there so don't worry.

I was probably at a similar stage when I tripped on the stairs going into our bedroom and landed on my bump.

The bump in question turns 6 soon. They are pretty well protected in there. I did ring my GP after it happened, and he referred me for an extra scan to check all's ok, so that's worth trying to put your mind at rest, but chances are it's all fine.

I fell off my bike and was involved in a car crash. Both fine. As long as no pain or bleeding I would try not to worry. Hopefully you are nearly due you 16 wk appointment? You should be able to hear a heartbeat then.

I’m super accident prone. Spend my life bumping into things/dropping things on myself. I’ve got a perfectly healthy toddler and a 24 week bump who is doing fine. I still sleep partly on my tummy so poor baby bump gets nice and squished most nights!

Yes 100%, I had a car door opened quite hard on my belly (about 20 weeks). I asked the midwife and she pointed out that the baby is covered loads of fluid, muscles, uterus, fat, skin etc etc. It is very well protected in there.

BTW my baby is now a 6 week old happily held in my arms. You don't need to worry about this but I totally understand why you are!!

Yes I had a car accident at 26 weeks and the seat belt obviously impact my belly but all good - they are very well protected in there.

Aww thanks everyone, its good to hear some reassurance hubby was so sorry too bless him, I bleed anyway due to a hemorrhage so its hard to tell but will keep an eye on things, I think it was the shock that scared me more and my leg is getting a bruise so hopefully that took most of the impact

I was worried, my big two year old did a running jump and literally hurled himself into my belly at 7 months pregnant. Everyone was totally fine.

OverTheRainbow88 · 11/07/2020 17:30

Yes lots and lots from my 18 month old,’the first 5 worried me the. I figured the worrying was probably worse than the knocks for the baby!! All was fine 😊.

Gibbonsgibbonsgibbons · 11/07/2020 17:33

Aww baby is well wrapped up & still wee.
I was nearly 9months with my first & fell flat onto my bump hard walking down a hill in the middle of nowhere - she’s nearly twelve Smile

Sazzy312 · 11/07/2020 17:37

Lol @OverTheRainbow88 yes I think the worrying is probably worst, for me I've never gotten this far in a pregnancy so I feel super protective

@Gibbonsgibbonsgibbons wow it is surprising how protected they are glad she was all well

I'm pleased that you all have happy babies/children and no harm was done x

@Frazzled2207 yes will be good to have the 16 week check up with midwife, I'm sure all will be alright it was just a worry as didn't expect that to happen

My 3 year old regularly crashes into me for a cuddle. Obviously I try to stop her going straight into the bump, but there have been quite a few strong knocks and the occasionally accidental knee/elbow. No sign whatsoever of damage to babies or placenta (I have scans every 2 weeks because I’m high risk). Had a clumsy adult crash into my bump hard enough to wind me when I was 7 months with DD, no harm to her at all.
