Had my 32 week growth scan today and baby is estimated to be 4lbs 7oz. Just wondering how this compared to others? (I know they are notoriously inaccurate!)

Mine measured exactly 4lbs at 31+1

TwinkleStars15 · 11/07/2020 17:54

@sel2223 sounds similar then - apparently they put on 7oz a week approx!

Is that a standard nhs scan?

sel2223 · 11/07/2020 18:02

Yes, that's what I was told too. Not had a scan since so no idea what she's weighing now though (35 weeks)

Puppydogg1 · 11/07/2020 18:17

I had a growth scan at 32+3 and baby was estimated to weigh 4.7lb. I've had a further growth scan at 37+2 and baby was weighing in at 6.6lb.

TwinkleStars15 · 11/07/2020 18:29

@Pink15 no it was a private one as my partner really wanted to see baby as he’s missed all of the NHS ones.

@Puppydogg1 thanks! That’s reassuring - 6lb 6oz is a nice size at 37 weeks. I wondered if it was a bit on the big side as the every reliable Dr Google (!) says 3lbs 7oz.

I had a growth scan on Wednesday when I was 33+5 and baby was 5lb 1oz

Kalesandwich · 11/07/2020 18:48

My growth scan at 32 weeks said 4lbs 14oz

TurqMelon · 11/07/2020 18:50

4lb 5

Sparklypanda77 · 11/07/2020 18:53

32+1 and baby was estimated at 5lbs 3ozs

heroineinahalfshell · 11/07/2020 18:56

Same as @Melbs6, I had a scan at 33+4 and she was measuring 5lb 1oz

Puppydogg1 · 11/07/2020 18:57

@TwinkleStars15 yep i panicked a bit at 32 weeks when he was estimated at that weight but his weight at 37 weeks is absolutely fine. I was worried he was going to be huge after googling
Have another scan at 40 weeks to check his growth again if he's not here by then!

Metallicalover · 11/07/2020 19:03

4lb 1oz at exactly 33 weeks. But in 2 weeks only put on 3 oz and then born at 37+6 weighing 5lb 7oz x

Sarahlouise86 · 11/07/2020 19:04

My growth scan at 32 weeks exactly estimated he was 3lbs13oz. I'm having extra scans due to low Papp A and therefore a chance of him being small or early. Consultant was happy with this weight and think he was around 16th percentile but I'm only 5ft2 and my husband is 5ft 7 so we weren't expecting a whopper 🙈

Babyshine2020 · 11/07/2020 19:46

At 31+5 we were estimated at 4lb 6 and at 34+5 5lb 12. My bump didn't grow enough and we ended up having a scan at 31+5 and then my bump grew too much and we ended up at another scan at 34+5... can't win!

KLM19 · 11/07/2020 21:17

32+3 he weighed 4lb 4oz. Said that was right on point for that time :)

TwinkleStars15 · 11/07/2020 21:33

Thanks everyone! It’s so strange because she plotted baby exactly on the 50th centile but all the sites I’ve looked at say baby should weigh around 3lb 7oz at 32 weeks, which would make all of our babies big for our dates! Anyway, doesn’t matter! Appreciate it Smile

I had one at 32+4 and baby was estimated at 5lbs. They said he was measuring about 2 weeks ahead at the time. 36+2 now and haven't gotten another estimate since so not sure where he is (though he feels super heavy lol)
