Hey ladies last night I was watching something and came across something called a weekend cervix which scared the life out of me I'm literally terrified 😭😕😩... I haven't had any surgeries on my cervix or anything but I know I have a tilted uterus does this affect anything?

I also heard it only affects 1 out of 100 women but I'm not sure how accurate that is so I pray the odds are with me 🙏🏽

If you haven’t had any procedures on your cervix or a pre term labour before the chances of a problem are very small. I have (for cervical cancer cells) so I’m having my length checked next week - but that is only because of the procedure, it’s not standard. Try not to worry - like all things in pregnancy it’s a risk, but in your case a small one, and no more likely to happen than an of the other things that could (but probably won’t!) go wrong. C

Your mum having a prem baby won't affect you, it's not a genetic thing. I had a weakened cervix due to having abnormal cells removed nine months before falling pregnant, no one in my family experienced that. Might be worth chatting it over with your midwife, particularly if it's making you anxious

You can have a private scan that measures the length of your cervix if you are worried.
